Historical eras

I had to choose 3 historical eras for this task and i wanted to make sure that they were interesting and that there was enough information on them to write about.

The historical eras i chose are:

American civil war: 1861-1865

Caused by the appeal to end slavery in America, war between north and south America. Ended in victory for the north with much of the southern states infrastructure destroyed and slavery was abolished.

World war 2: 1939-1945

Global war fought between almost all of the world’s largest and most powerful countries, started by Germany invading Poland. It separated the world into to factions the Allies and the Axis. The war ended when Russia pushed into berlin from the east and other allied nations from the west, Germany surrendered leaving the war in Asia which was then ended when America dropped two nuclear bombs on two separate major Japanese cities; Hiroshima and Nagasaki.

Vietnam war: 1955-1975

the Vietnam war was a war between north and south Vietnam over land and political values. The north being a communist state trying to take over South Vietnam, was backed by other communist allies such as the Soviet Union and China. And the south being anti-communist was backed by other anti-communist allies such as America and Australia.
