Wix
Wix is an effective way of documenting work with a free webpage based system where you can create any website and customise it to however you would like, and then wix will host the website for you. There are adverts on the free versions but the hosting system is stable making it a viable option. The customisation is easy too with hundreds of options which you can change to suit your needs. I have used this website builder before and so am accustomed to its UI and this means I can make the website faster than the other programs.
Wix also has lots of free templates that you can choose from, each with a specific theme in mind, this is useful because you can choose the one that closest suits your needs and then change it to match exactly what you want.
Blogger
Blogger is another way of documenting work which uses a different style, the blog style which blogger uses means that work can just simply be imputed into the website and shows up in a list format with the most recent entries first, this makes it very easy to find work, and the work is displayed clearly using resizable images and text, however this format is much less interesting and is purely for the formal display of work.
The UI however is very simple to use and lays out all of the work you have uploaded in a simple easy to read list and you can edit or view the blog from there with buttons displayed underneath the blog.
This is the page layout for the blog as viewed by the reader, it is clean and clear allowing for easy viewing.
Wordpress
Wordpress is a website builder which uses a more blog-like format than wix yet stays customisable so that you can change the appearance of the page to your liking there are only limited templates for free on Wordpress but they are all good quality and functional.
These are some of the templates on the site which are free they are good but they don’t suit every purpose and the customisations are not as broad as wix so you may end up with something that isn’t exactly what you want.
